About
Julia Hirschfeld is a german artist and was born in 1990 only shortly after her parents fled the former GDR. The mother of two, who learned graphic arts and design, began painting during the Corona Pandemic and ventured into the art scene in 2022 under the pseudonym "Hirschbild". With a twinkle in her eye, she likes to refer to her art as an "Escalated Hobby." Her artwork with the theme of inclusion is very close to her heart. Life with her daughter, who has multiple disabilities, and the many people with disabilities she has met since then inspire her works. But also your inner child takes the brush in hand. Her Pop Art works catapult her childhood heroes into the present while enriching them with contemporary elements. Her "art remixes", as she calls them herself, sometimes take up current, socially critical themes. One of her works was featured in the commercial of a world-renowned soccer team, and the circle of Hirschbild owners includes an athlete on the 2021 U.S. Paralympic team and a well-known German director.
